After being laid off from my job I received unemployment benefits. Luckily enough the unemployment checks were just enough to pay my bills and buy groceries. However, I didn’t have enough cash to buy any extras I might need, like haircuts, CDs, DVDs, and etc. A friend of mine told me about cashcrate. Now, I have never done surveys on line or anything like that. I have seen the banners and the pop up ads, but, never thought they were legit. But, I trusted my friend’s judgment and checked it out.
I must say that cashcrate has proved to be a pretty good site. I have made a couple hundred dollars since starting it. Most surveys only take about 5 minutes and you have the option of which survey you would be interested in doing. Now, the pay per survey isn’t that high, usually under two dollars, but, like I said, they only take about 5 minutes to complete. I average about $12 an hour when there are enough surveys to take.
I did learn a few things while going through the motions of my first membership to a survey site. Be careful to do only the 100% surveys. Also, check out the fine print on the ones that say you will get paid cash. Sometimes what they really offer is a gift. The gifts are nice, but, generally you only get to try them out for a short time and then you have to return them or cancel them. If you don’t, you will be billed for them.
Always use correct information. Some survey companies may call you to verify that you are who you say you are. This is especially true if you are getting paid to do surveys. They have to keep their books and records in order for taxes.
The pay per survey may not seem like much, but, for sitting at your desk giving your opinion you can’t expect much per survey. What I like the most about cashcrate is that I can fill out as many surveys as I want. This means I can make as much money as I want.

Cashcrate has me swaying from side to side. The pay is pretty easy to come by, and I haven’t heard anyone complaining about not being paid. My problem with them is that almost all of thier partner sites are spam. A few of them sell your email addresses and phone numbers, so beware! Check out my blog – it has some helpful information. I still use cashcrate, but I am very careful what offers I use. I have another site that is pretty much the same as cashcrate, leave a comment on my blog with your email (i wont post the comment) and I will send you an invite!
I’ve been doing cashcrate (http://cashcrate.com/1155887) for about a month, and I already cleared the minimum to get paid. Should be getting a check for $30 within a few weeks. It’s a great way to waste 20-30 minutes before bed and accumulate a few dollars in the process.
Cashcrate is good, i have a full explination on how to fill out survey fast. Its really simple and you only have to do about 25% of the work to the get the credit for it.
